Photos from a football match in Nairobi, Kenya.

I love football. I love the aesthetics of football.I love the movement of the players, the antics of the coaches. I love the dynamism of the fans. I love their passion for their badge and the color of their team and their country.
I love the fact that for 90 minutes in a rectangular piece of grass, people can forget, hopefully, whatever might be going on in their life and rejoice in this communal celebration of humanity.

Football is Universal
As we embark on the 2011/2012 Football season, let’s take a second and put our club and national team loyalties aside and remember how truly beautiful this game is.
Football, Soccer, Futbol, Voetbal, Fußball, Calcio, Futebol, 足球 , サッカー, футбол. However you say it, this game is so much more than the matches and the teams who play in them. It is a mutual gathering point for people all over the world who would otherwise not have anything in common. So, let’s not just love and respect football, let’s love and respect the fans as well. You have more in common than you think.
